Visiting hours of some museums and archaeological sites in Türkiye extended

Visiting hours of some museums and archaeological sites in Türkiye, which attracted great interest from visitors during the summer season, have been extended.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the visiting hours of museums and archaeological sites have been rearranged within the scope of the 2024 tourism season.

In this context, Ephesus Archaeological Site will be open to visitors until 00.00, and Aspendos, Patara, Side and Hierapolis Archaeological Sites until 23.00 throughout the year.

Istanbul Airport Museum and Galata Tower will be open until 23.00, while Hagia Sophia History and Experience Museum and Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum will be open until 22.00.

The visiting hours of Perge, Phaselis, Olympos, Sagalassos, Laodikeia, Knidos, Zelve-Paşabağ ruins, Antalya Museum, Istanbul Archaeology Museum, Maiden’s Tower, Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, Ephesus Museum and Samsun Museum have been extended until 21.00.

In addition, the visiting hours of many museums and archaeological sites were extended until 19.00 and 20.00.

The updated visiting hours will be valid as of tomorrow.

Museums will be open on Eid al-Adha

Museums and archaeological sites, which are normally closed until noon on the first day of Eid al-Adha, will be open to visitors on the first day of Eid al-Adha.

In addition, all museums and archaeological sites will welcome visitors on Monday, the second day of Eid al-Adha.

With this arrangement, it is aimed to provide more services to visitors by extending the visiting hours of museums and archaeological sites.
