
Göbekli Tepe Exhibition Reaches 5 Million Visitors at the Colosseum, Heart of Rome
Göbekli Tepe, the oldest temple in human history, was reborn in the heart of Rome, at the Colosseum Archaeological Park. The exhibition titled “Göbekli Tepe: The Mystery of a Sacred Site” has achieved great success by hosting 5 million visitors since it opened its doors on October 24, 2024.
This success, crowned by the statements of the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, once again highlighted the global importance of Göbekli Tepe. Minister Ersoy emphasized the significance of the exhibition with the words, “Göbekli Tepe, the zero point of civilization, meets the world in the heart of Rome, the Colosseum.”

11,000-Year-Old Mystery Revived in Rome
The 11,000-year-old mystery of Göbekli Tepe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was virtually revived with the exhibition at the Colosseum. Replicas of monumental pillars, 3D reconstructions, and virtual tours provided visitors with an unforgettable experience.
